A degree in studio art, experience as a magazine paste-up artist, and working in creative services for several prominent retailers all converged towards a career in art direction for Carla. Her passion for simple, clean photography drives her creative sensibilities; she uses her background as a painter every day, 'building' a room through color, shape and texture. Freelancing for the past thirteen years, she has amassed an enviable list of top retail and mail-order clients who value her understanding of the many stages of catalog production – from tight scheduling, to the tricks of color separations and the subtleties of printing. Her skilled yet artful eye ensures that decisions are made through every step, which make the end result beautiful as well as effective. Carla is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
